Lloyd P. Beckley

Mr. Lloyd P. Beckley is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Safe Mothers Initiative and serves as a member of its Board of Directors. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Northrop University, USA. With over 25 years of professional experience as an Electronic Engineer, Mr. Beckley brings extensive expertise in technology and business operations, gained through his work with leading firms including Delco Electronics and AT&T. As Founder and Acting CEO, he provides strategic leadership and guides SMI’s long-term vision, growth, and sustainability. He also provides technical oversight for SMI’s website and digital presence. Mr. Beckley has a lifelong commitment to philanthropy and community development, with a focus on underserved and vulnerable populations. In 2012, he contributed personal resources toward the establishment of Hope Creek Elementary School in Rotifunk, Moyamba District, Sierra Leone, supporting both infrastructure and educational materials to expand access to quality education. His passion for the well-being of mothers and children drives the mission of SMI. He believes that by supporting maternal mental and emotional health, mothers are empowered to raise healthy families and contribute meaningfully to national development.
