Using this website
By using this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
This site is not medical advice
The information here is for general education about maternal mental health. It is not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan, and not a substitute for advice from a qualified health professional who knows your situation.
Nothing on this website should delay you from seeking medical help. If you or your baby are in danger, contact emergency services or go to your nearest health facility.
Our support services
Our helpline and support groups are peer and psychosocial support delivered by trained volunteers and staff. They are not a clinical service. We do not diagnose conditions or prescribe medication.
We answer the helpline during published staffed hours only. We do not operate a 24 hour crisis line.
Accuracy
We work to keep this site accurate and current, but we do not guarantee it is free of errors. Where we publish figures about our work, we state the date they were measured.

The Safe Mothers Initiative name, logo and the content of this site belong to us unless stated otherwise. You may share and print our educational materials free of charge for non-commercial purposes, provided you do not alter them and you credit us.
You may not use our name, logo or photographs for fundraising or commercial purposes without our written permission.
